Treatments for a Youthful Neck: A Comprehensive Guide

Aging is a natural process that affects every part of our body, but one area that often shows signs of aging sooner than we’d like is the neck. Fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin can make the neck appear older and less firm. The skin on the neck is thinner and more delicate than other parts of the body, making it more susceptible to aging. Factors like sun exposure, gravity, and the body’s natural decrease in collagen production contribute to the formation of wrinkles, sagging, and loss of elasticity. Fortunately, MidAmerica Plastic Surgery & Medical Spa offers non-invasive, minimally invasive, and surgical treatment options that offer effective solutions to combat these signs of aging.

Non-Invasive Neck Treatment: HydraFacial

What is HydraFacial? HydraFacial is a non-invasive, multi-step facial treatment that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection. It is suitable for all skin types and addresses various skin concerns, including aging.

HydraFacial is a great neck treatment option, thanks to it’s advanced technology and use of age-fighting boosters, such as the Epicutus Neck & Decollete Booster. This booster is designed to rejuvenate and firm the neck area by deeply hydrating the skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Continued maintenance is essential when treating delicate areas such as the neck with HydraFacial. MidAmerica’s licensed aesthetician, Madi Reeves, will work with you to develop a treatment schedule to better optimize your long-term results. Browse our complete HydraFacial menu here.

Minimally Invasive Neck Treatment: Radiesse

What is Radiesse? Radiesse is a biostimulator that also has the volumizing capability of a dermal filler. Known for its ability to provide immediate volume and stimulate collagen production,  Radiesse provides both immediate restoration, as well as long-term enhancement and prevention of signs of aging in the neck.  Once injected, it helps to redefine the contours, making the neck look firmer and more youthful.

Radiesse also stimulates the production of the body’s natural collagen, which leads to long-lasting improvements in overall skin texture and elasticity. Fine lines and wrinkles appear smoother, texture and general skin tone will improve, which will promote a younger-looking appearance. Not only does Radiesse offer natural-looking results, but long-lasting ones as well. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive treatment to address signs of aging, which means not neglecting the neck! Radiesse can last up to one year or more, although this is patient dependent.

Surgical Neck Treatment Option: Neck Lift

Dr. Ryan Diederich, a board-certified plastic surgeon, performs face and neck lift procedures at MidAmerica Plastic Surgery & Medical Spa. During an initial neck lift consultation, after discussing the patient’s goals, Dr. Diederich studies the patient’s anatomy to develop a personalized treatment plan to achieve their desired results.

Neck lift surgery helps to address several concerns, including the appearance of a “double chin” or excess, drooping skin on the neck. A neck lift is completed as an outpatient procedure and recovery time is patient dependent.

Not sure which treatment option is best suited for you? We invite you to call our office at 618-288-7855 or contact us online and speak with one of our patient care coordinators. They will be able to answer your questions and educate you about your desired procedures.
