Katie received her breast augmentation approximately 5 years ago with our very own Dr. Diederich of MidAmerica Plastic Surgery. “I was never entirely satisfied with my chest size, ever since high school I felt like I lacked something that every other girl had at my age” Katie stated.

“How long is recovery?”

Katie expressed her concern with recovery and how it would affect her kids. “I was nervous I wasn’t going to be able to be there for my kids for a long period of time after the procedure but that wasn’t the case at all, I was back to my mom duties within a week after minimal downtime”.
“What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about getting a breast augmentation? “
When thinking about getting any major surgical procedure done, it is always helpful to gather as much information as you can to better prepare and ensure the procedure is exactly what you want. Katie was able to offer some great advice to anyone considering a breast augmentation. “My advice to anyone considering a breast augmentation would be to first gather a list of questions before the consultation to ask. Something else I found useful in my own experience was to really think about your goals regarding the procedure; what do you hope to achieve through getting a breast augmentation”.
