2024 is the year to take your medical spa treatments to the next level. Injectables, such as filler, BOTOX, and Sculptra are incredibly beneficial to the anti-aging process, but your skin quality needs to be addressed alongside these treatments. This is where lasers come into the picture. As we age, it’s fairly common to notice pigmentation, loss of skin laxity, fine lines, wrinkles… etc. These effects are associated with the natural aging process, as well as sun exposure and other environmental factors.
The secret to anti-aging can be found in pairing lasers with your other medical spa treatments. At The Spa at MidAmerica Plastic Surgery, located just outside of St. Louis, Missouri, we’ve got you covered. We’re your one-stop-shop for addressing all of your anti-aging concerns, using top of the line products and treatments, from injectables to lasers. We’re here to spill the tea on how lasers will give you noticeable, natural-looking results that will change the game on your anti-aging journey.
Laser resurfacing treatments are beloved by both staff and patients here at The Spa. Don’t get us wrong, we love our injectables. However, lasers offer a greater opportunity to reverse some of the damage caused by aging and the sun, as well as prevent these effects from worsening while stimulating collagen. Our Sciton machine is a versatile tool when it comes to addressing skin concerns because it allows our providers to customize the depth to which the laser can go in the dermis.
If a patient is wanting to treat pigmentation caused by the sun or rosacea, BBL would be a good option for you. BBL, or broad-band light laser, is gentler option, compared to Halo treatments. Halo, both an ablative and non-ablative laser, penetrates deeper into the dermis to stimulate collagen and rejuvenate the skin. With Halo, you will notice dramatic results to your overall skin quality, such as a reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, and discoloration, while improving the skin’s reflectivity and glow.
The best part of the Sciton laser is its customizable nature and ability to meet the needs of each laser patient. For the patients looking for that extra glow with a no-downtime, low-maintenance laser, we recommend doing a nano laser. For more advanced cases, a total resurfacing laser, otherwise referred to as TRL, may be recommended. Generally, nano lasers are best for ages twenty-one to thirty, while more experienced patients in their thirties to fifties benefit from Halo. For our seasoned patients older than fifty, TRL is typically the best bet to treat signs of aging.
Pairing Halo with injectable treatments, such as Sculptra and BOTOX, will give you optimal results when it comes to overall skin quality and anti-aging. Sculptra works from within to stimulate your body’s own natural collagen, improving age-related volume loss, skin laxity and texture. Scheduling your Halo treatment along with your Sculptra injections will give you dramatic anti-aging results that will have people questioning whether you’re the next Benjamin Button. (Just kidding, but the results really are so good, we know Brad Pitt would approve.)
The Spa is located in MidAmerica Plastic Surgery, both founded by board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Ryan Diederich. To compliment their face lift results, Dr. Diederich often refers his patients to The Spa to for post-operative laser treatments. that will compliment the surgery he has completed. Pairing lasers, such as Halo or TRL, with face-lifts will provide a comprehensive treatment to signs of aging.
At The Spa, our providers prioritize your concerns, but will also make honest recommendations for treatments that they feel will benefit your overall results. Oftentimes, these recommendations will include lasers that will improve your overall skin quality. Improving your skin quality will not only give you beautiful results by itself, but will compliment the other medical spa services you typically schedule appointments for.
