Dr. Diederich constantly strives for continuing education and community involvement. As a result, he is a member of several medical societies and associations. He also holds several positions within these organizations.
He has most recently been elected as the 2020 Second Vice President of the Southern Illinois Medical Association. This association was founded in 1874 and represents the physicians and mid-level healthcare practitioners in the southern half of Illinois.
MidAmerica Plastic Surgery is associated with Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois and this is where Dr. Diederich performs a bulk of his surgeries. He is the current Department of Surgery Chairman, OR Committee Chairman, and the Medical Executive Committee Treasurer.
As a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, he sits on the ASPS EdNet Editorial Subcommittee and the BIA-ALCL subcommittee.
With the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, he is a member of the Young Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (YAPS) committee and the Product Development and Market Research Committee. 
Dr. Diederich is very passionate about plastic surgery and is very driven to redefine the standard of care. This is evidenced by his hard work and commitment to learn as much as he can. We are inspired each day by his mission to exceed expectations.
